Can Make A Difference
Quality protein, fat and carbohydrates, makes
PRISM® a highly digestible,
nutrient-dense premium formula your pet will
love.
Quality
Meat Meal Proteins
(Varies by formula.)
Highly Digestible Chicken By-Product Meal
– Many of the by-products are the same as used
in the human food chain and a rich source of
nutrients, including natural Vitamin A from
liver, and iron. It excludes feathers. Our
chicken by-product meal protein digestibility is
equal to prime chicken meal at 91%. It is
antibiotic free and there are no added hormones.
Pork Meal – Considered a hypoallergenic
ingredient, it too is highly digestible.
Fish Meal – Harvested in clean ocean
waters, it is the most digestible meat meal
protein available. It is preserved naturally.
Lamb Meal – Considered a hypoallergenic
protein, our lamb meal is from free range,
grass-fed sheep.
Each animal protein has its own, unique nutrient
profile. Our formulas combine the optimum amount
of each ingredient, and naturally balance amino
acids, vitamins and minerals.
Protein Comparisons

Naturally Preserved
All PRISM® formulas are preserved
with natural mixed tocopherols.
Multiple
Sources of Omega 6:3 Fatty Acids For Superior
Coat and Skin
Just as with the selection of our animal
proteins and carbohydrates, we select natural
ingredients for their value in enhancing a
naturally healthy coat and skin:

Fish Meal, Chicken By-Product Meal and Corn also
contribute as coat and skin conditioners.
Proteinated Minerals – These are trace
minerals protected so they can be totally
absorbed by the digestive system.

Multiple Sources Of Quality
Grains /Carbohydrates
Animals, like
people, require carbohydrates. In a true premium
diet (meat meal based diet) however, an animal
protein should be listed first on the ingredient
panel. Corn or other carbohydrates, should be
listed after the animal protein (except for
specialty diets). Corn is listed first in the
Maintenance Formula.
The quality
carbohydrates used in PRISM® are all
selected for
sound nutritional reasons; each makes a unique,
yet vital
contribution to your pet's health.
Whole Ground
Corn – is naturally high in linoleic / Omega
6 fatty acids. It is the base ingredient in many
expensive coat and skin supplements. We use corn
for its energy and carbohydrate
contribution, not as a protein source. According
to leading nutrition and health texts, corn is
not a leading cause of allergies. We purchase it
fresh annually from area farmers.
Whole Ground
Brown Rice – This is rice with the outer
hull
removed, and retaining the bran/fiber layer. It
is highly nutritious but humans prefer white
rice due to its better taste.
Whole White
Rice – This is Brown Rice with the bran
layer
removed. Two inner nutritious layers remain. It
is still very highly nutritious and not to be
compared to rice flour which has far less
nutritional value. It is more digestible than
Brown Rice. Vets recommend feeding it to sick
pets.
Other Quality
Ingredients
Beet Pulp - Humans need fiber in their
diets, as do dogs (and horses too). Silver
Charm, the 1997 Kentucky Derby winner received
beet pulp in its diet. Current research shows
beet pulp, a prebiotic, aids the growth of good
bacteria in the dog’s digestive system, allowing
the good bacteria to crowd out the pathogens,
like E.Coli.
Brewers
Yeast - an excellent source of B-vitamins;
numerous research studies show brewers yeast
contains several unidentified growth factors
beneficial to pets.
